Rodrigo Fonseca is Co-founder of EMX Capital. He led the acquisition of Farmapiel, EMX Capital fund company, where he is a member of the Board and oversees the operation of the company. He co-led the acquisition of Bisonte, where he is a member of the Board.
Previously he served as Principal at The Carlyle Group, where he led the evaluation and financing of the acquisition of Arabela and actively participates in monitoring and value-added initiatives and serves as Member of the Board of Directors. Led the evaluation and financing of the acquisition of the ULA and actively participated in monitoring, value-added initiatives, and complementary acquisitions
Prior to joining Carlyle, Rodrigo worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. (New York and Mexico City), where he was responsible for relations and deal origination with Mexican customers. Previously, Rodrigo was Vice President of GE Capital in New York. Before that, he served as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., where he worked on strategic consulting projects.
Rodrigo received his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anahuac.
